About Soft-Edit
Soft-Edit is a Los Angeles-based specialist vintage archive, dealer, and private sourcing practice focused on collectible garments, design history, and material culture.
THE COLLECTION
Soft-Edit identifies, researches, documents, and places vintage garments and objects selected for their design, cultural relevance, and historical context.
The collection focuses on graphic apparel and material culture across subjects including advertising, typography, corporate identity, music, sports, regional culture, institutions, and LGBTQ+ history.
Objects may be offered for acquisition, retained in the archive, made available for professional access, privately placed, or preserved as part of the permanent Soft-Edit record.
Soft-Edit was founded by Nasera Alayon, an art director and designer whose background in branding, editorial design, and visual culture informs the collection.
That design perspective shapes how Soft-Edit approaches the visual histories embedded in everyday garments.
Soft-Edit is part of the broader creative practice of Softcore Studio.

Shipping & Fulfillment
Orders ship from California to the continental United States, Hawaiʻi, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. International shipping is not currently available.

- Carriers: USPS or UPS, based on weight and destination
- Shipping: Calculated at checkout; free U.S. shipping on orders $65+ before tax
- Tracking: Provided by email once your order ships
Returns & Exchanges
Because Soft-Edit specializes in true vintage and one-of-a-kind items, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for fit, buyer's remorse, or condition consistent with normal vintage wear.
If an item arrives damaged in transit or is significantly misrepresented, you may request a return, replacement, or partial refund within 72 hours of delivery.
Normal vintage wear—including fading, minor distressing, small marks, and sizing variations—is not considered damage. Please review all measurements, photographs, condition notes, and product descriptions carefully before purchasing.
Eligible Issues
A resolution may be requested if:
- The item arrives with damage that was not disclosed.
- The item has a significant flaw that was not photographed or described.

- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item and packaging
- A photo of the shipping label
Requests are reviewed within 2–3 business days, and we will provide next steps.
